From 14 May till 6 June at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere there will be the winning photos exhibition of the last edition of the World Press Photo.
The Photo of the Year 2009 is by the Italian Pietro Masturzo. The image depicts a woman shouting in sign of protest from a roof in Tehran on June 24.
Alessandro Imbriaco (Contrasto) receives the second prize in the category Contemporary iusses with the story Casilino 900.
This year there are nine Italian winning fotographers. The photos have been separated in ten categories: Daily Life, People in the news, Spot News, General News, Nature, Contemporary Iusses, Arts and entertainment, Portraits, Sports features e Sports action.
The book World Press Photo 10 is published by Contrasto.
